Sick guy
Came down with fever and chills yesterday which dragged on till the next day, so i wasn't really in any particular mood to write about anything. Just pretty much lied in bed the entire day, awaking only during my favourite tv programs and when it was time for dinner or lunch. Had to even cancel our boardgame + pbl session we were organising in one of our batchmate's house (actually there weren't enough people anyway), and very nearly absconded from attending my granddad's 70 something birthday dinner, knowing full well how a big a fuss my parents would make if i did. In the end i just dragged myself out and went anyway, trying to look as miserable as i could during the entire meal. Other than that i was pretty much as sick as anyone who's sick can be.
Did manage however to catch the entire miss universe 2004 program this morning on starworld. As always, it turned out to be pretty entertaining, although one can't help noticing that the general trend in all these beauty pageants is that the contestants seem to be deteriorating every year. If this were to continue, in just a few years time miss universe would probably not be anymore different than miss jumbo in thailand.

Hey, feel better already ? Are you one of those types that try not to take panadol no matter what ? My mum absolutely forbids it coz she thinks too much of that stuff will kill me eventually. Anyway...holidays are half over. Before you know it, it'll be Monday again. See you then !

yeah,..I kind of agree that the final selection of the Miss Universe pageant was not that good...hmm, I would say that in a few years time, they wouldn't be selecting for Miss Jumbo, of course not.. they will still be looking for the BODY! but if you actually notice the trend is towards tall girls, wide broad mouth, big boobs and definitely slimmer or should I consider skinny gals..that's what they think is beautiful nowadays..Time will change and by that time, what we view as pretty then may not be consider pretty in the future.This is rather subjective..and if you want to complain about the bad choices they made..blame it all on the judges...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Hei something seems to be wrong with blogspot... can't seem to post up my blogs..
Anyway hei actually i'm the opposite of your mom, gulped down 4 panadols the very day i found i was sick. Would probably have taken more if it wasn't time for bed. The pills didn't work though... fever went off for a few days but then the sore throat came on, so bad i nearly lost my voice.. and before i knew it the fever was back on again. Went to my doctor this morning and he gave me some antibiotics.. felt almost completely better after just one cephalexin.. sigh.. should have went the moment i stopped feeling well but i just thought if i take some rest, drink lots of water + take panadol the fever would go away.
About the miss universe thing, there actually seem to be some unspoken discrimination towards asian contestants. For them (with the exception of india) its almost impossible to move into the top 15, while powerful influential countries like the united states can have their misses cruising into the final rounds no matter how horrendous they look. And if you look at the judges there isn't even a single non-white non-black person among them. How this pageant is even remotely universal is beyond me.

Last year, was it Miss World or Miss Universe that was hosted in China ? Miss China got 3rd place, you know. This year it was held in Equador, ad Miss Equaldor got into the finals too. I thought Miss Australia's evening gown was stunning tho.

Hei koko really glad that you actually take time off to read my blogs. Well actually it's not that i want to sound like a smart ass (actually i'm not even sure how one sounds like), but my blogs are about what's happening everyday in my life, and things like what happened in steven's corner don't really take place everyday. And in the absence of such incidents, i just have to put down how i look at the rest of the things that's been happening to me to be, whether they're funny or sad and well.... i guess sometimes i look at things from a smart point of view... but there's really no harm in that is there ??
Hei i would definitely like to post a longer comment but hoi cheung is bugging me for the computer. And if you notice the time, its about 1:20 in the morning. Well i guess somethings never change. :)

Haha if you're referring to atrophic vaginitis, it means inflammation of the vagina accompanied by atrophy (shrinking). Then comes dyspareunia, which means pain on intercourse...
