Middlemore

Just a quick blog to inform everyone of my whereabouts (not that anybody's interested lol.. but I'm writing it anyway!). I'm currently sitting in the psychogeriatric ward in Middlemore Hospital and going through the case notes of one of the patients I had just seen. She's a 71 year old caucasian lady who had overdosed herself on sleeping pills after her alcoholic husband refused to discontinue his drinking habits. For close to 50 years she was made to endure aggresion and verbal abuse until she finally decided she wasn't going to put up any longer - and attempted to end her life. What a scary thought. And definitely not the husband I intend to be. I can only hope being made to play boardgames every night for the next 50 years doesn't quite have the same effect.
