Day Off From Hospital

Woken up at noon today by the booming voice of one the people on my floor. Brushed my teeth and put on some nice clothes only to go down to the dining hall and find crap lunch. Was considering for a moment whether or not I should go up and cook my own noodles, but in the end crap lunch won cause I remembered I had already paid for crap lunch.

During the meal the 5th year seniors were talking about their usual stuff before derailing off to discuss about who their admirer's were.
CE: My admirer gave me a Korean sweet, so he must be Korean... hm.... there are only few Koreans in Grafton... hm.... since S and Ke didn't take part, and Han is a girl..... hm.... my admirer must be kg.
DC: .......................................... (Munching apple + not listening + doesn't care who her admirer is)
Rest of us: Sadly we do not have admirers.

Got a call from the International Students Coordinator in the middle of crap lunch. Apparently there is a communication skills class tomorrow that all of us are slated to attend. International students? Oh my gosh.. they most likely do not speak English where they come from. How are they going to adapt to life in Auckland? We should probably take pity on them and give them a few English classes on the last week of their first run so they won't feel lost. They probably won't mind if it interferes with their CAT and case histories deadline this friday as they likely can't complete them anyway with their current command of the language. What a sad and deprived group of people.

Anyway I've got only 2 days till my big presentation on thursday, and I still have much to do. Finished 2 rounds of train game earlier and finished dead last twice. My gaming buddies are getting too good. This has got to stop or I won't likely be buying anymore games.

Auckland New Zealand

Two of my parcels finally arrived today! In them is everything from chinese tea leaves to underwears to my dear medical textbooks! Oh how I love parcels!

Attached to it was a note by one of the people at the office 'Stephen can I please have your stamps'. Well you can if you can spell my name correctly. I won't be going to hospital tomorrow as my consultant is going away to Wellington, so I can stay up all I want. My partner said it was because of the 69 NZDollar special discount rate that one of the airlines is offering. Did I mention he was my consultant?

Anyway I have to finish up my cat soon. Many thanks to all the seniors who helped me with mine!! I will let you guys know what marks I got when I get them, as long as I pass. Fat eeeeeee said that nobody fails their cats.... I hope I'm not the first!!!

Wow... It's a really great feeling to return to my blog after a year. I can still remember when we had a blog craze in our group where almost everyone started their own. Things haven't been as cruizy here in New Zealand as I would have thought. But then again, it hasn't been as rough either. I will be sending a note soon to let all you guys know my blog has been resurrected. Hopefully you all won't be too busy to come read them, and leave comments like how you use to.

I really miss all of you back in Seremban. Like how some of you have predicted, I have made some great friends here. Some are awesome, some are not but most importantly it is to stay true to yourself no matter what. All of us go through some rough times some of the time, and I guess we just take turns needing someone to point out to us just how special and wonderful each of us really are. I really hope that this will be the start of many more awesome blogs to come, and hope as well that I would be able to command as big amount a visitor as I did the last time I started this.

Many Cheers,
Steve
